The Request More Info Email

After responding to the intro text, a follow-up text prompts sending an email address with the company shortcode and five ones. For example: ABCD 11111 workers@crewdriverapp.com

Below is a copy of the email that is sent to the email address submitted.

Welcome to CrewDriver! Here I’ll answer your questions as quickly possible.

Q: Why have I received this email?

An organization you work for or want to work for is using CrewDriveran online tool for sending work offers. I'm emailing you to ensure it's effortless for you to use, so you can accept work offers when they're sent to you.

Q: Who are you?

I'm Jay. I've worked in event production for over 10 years. I built this software to help simplify the communication between you and the organization you work for.

Q: Why would I want this?

I want this work well for you. Here's what we built into our system:

  • Only YOU can confirm a shift. It must come from your phone. We cut down mistakes in communication this way.
  • Offers are only sent between 8am and 10pm—unless it's an emergency or your organization uses different hours—because you have a life.
  • Accept an offer and we respond, no matter what.
  • You can always notify the system you've changed your answer by sending in a different response.
  • We'll always tell you if you're removed from a shift, a shift is cancelled, or if you can't be confirmed for a shift.
  • Your up-to-date schedule will be emailed to you weekly.
  • We will never try and double book you at the same time at the same organization.

Q: What’s a "work offer”?

You'll get offers for shifts on your phone. They originate from the organization you work for and are created by your coordinator there. You might have previously been phoned or emailed; those offers will now arrive in a simple text, allowing you to easily accept or decline the offers.

A work offer looks like:
CREW 21345
The Big Event Load-in Shift
Sat, 27 Feb 18:00 - Sun, 28 Feb 02:00
@ Crewdriver Centre
"CREW 21345 YES/NO"

Breakdown:

  • CREW is the shortcode of the organization offering you the shift. The shortcode is specific to each organization, so if you work for more than one you can always distinguish who the offer is coming from.
  • 21345 is the call ID. It will be different for every offer you are sent.
  • You’ll also get the project name, call name, date and time, and location. Your coordinator might also add a description or instructions.
  • An example of how to respond is included.

Q: How do I respond to a work offer?

If you were to accept the work offer above, text back with:
CREW 21345 YES

Want to turn it down? Text:
CREW 21345 NO

If you accept an offer you’ll receive a text within minutes confirming that you're booked for the shift! It's that simple.

Q: I accepted an offer and I didn't get a message in return. What happened?

It's possible your cell carrier dropped the message. If you resend your last message it will trigger the system to resend your confirmation.

Q: I sent in the wrong response! I need to change my response! Can I change it?

Yes. You can change your response before the call closes. Just text us your new response and the software will attempt to make the change for you. You’ll get an answer to your new response within minutes.

Q: I sent in a NO response. Will a receive a message in return?

Nope.

Q: What numbers am I getting texts from?

You can view and save all the numbers you receive texts from here.

Q: How do I get my schedule?

Text SCHED to any CrewDriver number and respond to the prompt to add your email address. You'll receive a weekly email with your upcoming shifts.

Q: What else?

If you want to be removed from any of the organizations using my software—or are receiving annoying unsolicited work offers from an organization—please get in touch with me and let me know.

Most importantly, I'm keen to make this work well for youone of the crew receiving work offers through the software. We always will take your phone call. If you need help with the software, if you want to make suggestions on how to improve it. Call us. If we're not available leave a message, we'll call you back asap.
